Scrimshawed whale tooth

Giant 8.25" scrimshaw whale tooth featuring whaleman sitting on wooden keg and smoking a pipe. Weight is approximately 1 lb.  Above and behind him are the sails, portion of the ship, and other ships at sea.  Below the picture are two whales, one on either side, as well as another whale above the picture, which is caught in a harpoon and line.  On the underside of the tooth is inscribed the artist's name: McCandless.
