Stone

Hawaiian Stone Artifact. Length: 2 3/8 inches, Width: 1 3/8 inches (at widest point), Thickness: 1 inch (at widest point) , Color: Grey, Weight: 4.2 oz. Item is fairly wedge shaped and there are grooves along the lower edge and bottom. Item appeared to have been used possibly as a small hammer, being fastened to a handle, but could have been used also as a squid weight or other such object. This is only a speculative description.
