Scrimshawed whale tooth

3" standing scrimshawed whale tooth with significant curvature.  Etching on the front of the tooth is of a sailing ship surrounded by ornate kelp leaves, with leaves encircling top of the tooth.  Artist: Ray Peters; artist's signature on bottom right corner of etching: 73 RJP 82.  Purchased by donor in Hawai'i.
