Kapa (tapa) Cloth Liner. Length: 10 1/2 inches, Number of Teeth: 1 (had 3, the other 2 are broken off), Material: Bamboo, Weight: too light to scale. These instruments were used to make the lined patterns on Kapa (tapa) cloth.

Cultural Narrative: 

 Lapa was used for decorating kapa, a clothlike material made from beating the damp bark of the Wauke (paper mulberry) with an iʻe kuku (kapa beater).  The lapa was primarily made with bamboo but could be made with any hardwood.
