5.5" scrimshaw whale tooth. Rounded front of tooth is etched with ship at full sail with the inscription "Whaling Bark Louisa" in banner near bottom. The reves side of tooth has a dock scene with a ship, lighthouse, and front of ship at dock. Age cracking near tip. Obtained by donor in Avon, Conneticut. Artist unknown.
